A landslide occurred on the road to Seyitler village, which is connected to the center, during the afternoon hours. Large and small rock fragments that broke off from the steep slope at the top of the retaining wall fell onto the roadway.

OPERATOR ESCAPED AT THE LAST MOMENT

The operator of the construction machinery belonging to the Highways, who was working on the road, managed to escape at the last moment by reversing upon noticing the landslide. Those moments were recorded by bystanders with a mobile phone camera.

ROAD CLOSED TO TRAFFIC

In the footage, it was seen that the soil breaking off from the slope, along with the rocks, flowed onto the road, surrounding the area with a cloud of dust, and the operator of the construction machinery on the road escaped from being trapped under the landslide as a result of reversing the vehicle. The road, which was closed after the landslide, was reopened to traffic after the teams completed their cleaning work.
