A driver in Antalya, who was caught riding a motorcycle at speeds of up to 280 km/h and sharing moments of riding on one wheel on social media, has been apprehended. The driver was fined, and their driver's license was confiscated.
A driver riding a motorcycle on the overpass at Altınova on Serik Street in Antalya shared a video of his traffic rule violation on his social media account.
HE REACHED 280 KM/H
The video showed the driver initially moving through heavy traffic, then increasing his speed, violating lane rules, dangerously weaving between vehicles, and the motorcycle's speedometer reaching 280 kilometers per hour.
HE WAS CAUGHT AFTER THE FOOTAGE
Following the sharing of the footage on social media, the Antalya Police Department teams acted quickly to identify and apprehend the motorcycle driver.
HIS LICENSE WAS CONFISCATED
The driver was subjected to a Traffic Administrative Fine under Articles 44/1-B, 46/2-C, and 73/A of the Highway Traffic Law No. 2918, and his driving license was also confiscated.
