In the case regarding the death of the legendary figure of Argentine football, Diego Maradona, prosecutor Patricio Ferrari harshly criticized the medical team during the hearing by showing a photo of Maradona on his deathbed.
The trial regarding the death of Argentine football legend Diego Armando Maradona has begun in Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina. Prosecutor Patricio Ferrari made a significant impact in court.
SHOWED A PHOTO OF MARADONA ON HIS DEATHBED
Speaking in court, Ferrari showed a photo of Maradona on his deathbed to the judge, stating, "This is how Maradona died. If someone tells you that you didn't see what happened to Diego, they are lying."
“THOSE WHO SAY THIS WAS NOT A MURDER ARE LYING”
Referring to Maradona's care conditions, Ferrari said, "The situation is quite clear. Think of your own loved one; if you saw someone lying in bed for days, those who say this is not a murder are lying." In the photo shown by the prosecutor, Maradona's abdomen was seen to be swollen, and no one was around him.
HIS FAMILY COULDN'T HOLD BACK TEARS
It was observed that his daughters Dalma and Gianinna could not hold back their tears upon seeing the photo. Seven individuals who were part of the legendary footballer's medical team are accused of causing death due to negligence. According to local media, the defendants are being tried for "intentional manslaughter" and could face prison sentences ranging from 8 to 25 years if found guilty.
