US President Donald Trump announced in a message shared on his Truth Social account that the US military struck Somalia on his orders. Stating that it is "time for the terrorists to hide," Trump noted that the best soldiers in the world, the US military, would find them and take action.
"I HAVE DEPLOYED US SOLDIERS"
Trump claimed that US soldiers had eliminated ISIS in less than three weeks and stated that he has redeployed US soldiers to eliminate terrorist elements.

Trump indicated that their support for the Somali people in ending terrorism and providing prosperity would continue, saying, "They must not allow the Houthis to settle (they are trying to do this)."

The US military conducted airstrikes on the capital Sana'a of Yemen before the attacks in Somalia. The Yemeni Ministry of Health reported that five people were killed and 13 others were injured in the attacks carried out by the US military in the Bani Matar area west of the capital Sana.
