In the İnegöl district of Bursa, in a fire that broke out on the 3rd floor of an apartment building, 2 out of 5 cats could not be saved, while the children were evacuated. The cats that were poisoned by smoke were taken to the ambulance while attempts were made to revive them with CPR.
A desperate scene unfolded in the fire in Bursa. The fire occurred around 4:30 PM on the 3rd floor of a three-story apartment building located on Pazar Street in the Hamidiye neighborhood.
CHILDREN TRAPPED
According to reports, the fire, which was caused by an electric heater tipping over onto the carpet, saw V.H., who was renting the house, struggling to exit the building, while fire, 112 emergency services, and police teams were dispatched to the scene.
2 CATS DIED
Children trapped on the upper floor and 3 out of 5 cats were rescued by the teams. Health teams performed CPR on 2 cats that had stopped breathing at the scene and took them to the ambulance, providing oxygen. The children and cats affected by the smoke were placed under treatment.
COULDN'T HOLD BACK TEARS
Despite all the interventions, 2 out of the 5 cats trapped in the fire could not be saved. The homeowner, Vildan Hasdemir, shed tears upon learning that her cats had died.
The fire was brought under control and extinguished by the fire brigade in a short time. An investigation has been launched regarding the fire.
