It is not a privilege for one club, but justice for everyone!"

The Super Lig giant Galatasaray reacted to the 2-match ban imposed on Roland Sallai, who received a red card in the last league match, and the lack of punishment for Fenerbahçe goalkeeper Ederson by the Turkish Football Federation (TFF).

'NOT A PRIVILEGE, JUSTICE FOR EVERYONE'

In a statement made by the yellow-red club, it was said, "The provocative actions of the opposing team's goalkeeper towards the stands in the match played last week were not subjected to any disciplinary action, despite the clear provisions of the regulations. It is not a privilege for one club, but justice for everyone!"

Here is Galatasaray's statement;

"The decisions of the Turkish Football Federation Professional Football Disciplinary Board dated 27.11.2025 have once again made visible the issues of double standards, disproportion, and inconsistency in application that we have expressed in Turkish football.

The 2-match ban imposed on our player Roland Sallai has been applied in the heaviest manner from the upper limit, despite being a situation that occurred during the flow of the game and lacking any intent. The fact that no foul was even called for a similar action by an opposing player in another match clearly questions the intent behind the punishment given.

In the match played last week, the provocative actions of the opposing team's goalkeeper towards the stands were not subjected to any disciplinary action, despite the clear provisions of the regulations. Our player Mauro Icardi was punished by the PFDK for a similar gesture, even though he was in a much more distant position from the stands in previous seasons.

Those who interpret the same actions differently, disregard precedent decisions, and wish for justice to vary according to individuals and clubs with the penalties they impose have a clear goal they want to achieve this season as well.

We once again loudly reiterate what we said about 3 years ago: "Not a privilege for one club, but justice for everyone!"

We know that the only way out for Turkish football is equality, consistency, and justice. Galatasaray Sports Club will continue its struggle, as in every season, both on and off the field, until the end."
