Tera Investment Technology Holding has acquired Tatilsepeti.com, one of Turkey's leading online travel platforms, for 70 million Euros (approximately 3.7 billion lira).
Tera Investment Technology Holding announced that it has completed an important acquisition with a statement made to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP).
Recently drawing attention with its rapid rise in the stock market, Tera Investment Technology Holding has acquired 100% of the online travel platform Tatil Sepeti. The company announced that the acquisition was completed for 70 million euros (approximately 3.7 billion TL).
In a Special Situation Disclosure made by the company on October 14, 2025, it was announced to the public that negotiations had begun for the acquisition of DLT Tourism and Trade Inc., the owner of one of Turkey's leading online travel platforms, Tatilsepeti.com, in line with its growth strategy and goals to diversify its investment portfolio.
FROM A SCHOOL TRIP TO TURKEY'S LEADING TRAVEL PLATFORM
Kaan Karayal, Suat Gücel, and Nedim Paltura, who were students at Galatasaray High School in 1996, set out with the idea that they could organize more innovative and participatory events during a trip to Uludağ they attended in their high school years. The tours they began to organize with the thought "We can do better" formed the intellectual foundation of Tatilsepeti.com in the following years.
THE STEP TO CORPORATIZATION CAME IN 2002
The team decided to formalize their initiative while they were university students in 2002 and established DLT Tourism and Trade Inc., named after "Daltons." The company's rapid response and goal to reach a wider audience were decisive in bringing the idea of Tatilsepeti.com to life.
TATILSEPETI.COM LAUNCHED IN 2004
Tatilsepeti.com, which started operating under DLT Tourism and Trade Inc. in 2004, quickly attracted attention in the online tourism sector. By 2006, the platform rose to a leading position in the internet tourism market.
In 2010, Tatilsepeti.com expanded its product portfolio by adding international hotel reservations and flight ticket sales to its services. The platform, which was selected as the "People's Favorite Travel Site" at the Golden Spider Web Awards held that year, became one of the most trusted websites in Turkey.
