Fenerbahçe announced its European squad ahead of the UEFA Europa League Play-Off round match against Nottingham Forest. New signings N'Golo Kante, Matteo Guendouzi, and Sidiki Cherif have been included in the squad. However, names like Mert Günok and Musaba were not on the UEFA list.
In the UEFA Europa League Play-Off round, Fenerbahçe, which faced Nottingham Forest, reported its squad to UEFA for European competitions. The yellow-blues added three names who joined the squad during the winter transfer period to the list, while some notable players were left out of the European squad.
NEW TRANSFERS ON THE LIST
Fenerbahçe included new transfers N'Golo Kanté, Mattéo Guendouzi, and young forward Sidiki Cherif in the UEFA Europa League squad. Head coach Domenico Tedesco stated that they could register a maximum of three new players with UEFA and chose these names.
CLEAR STATEMENT FROM TEDESCO
Speaking about the squad, Domenico Tedesco also revealed the names that were not included in the list. Tedesco mentioned that Mert Günok and Musaba would not be on the UEFA list, stating that he shared this decision individually with the players. The experienced coach expressed that Musaba accepted the situation maturely and is always ready for league and cup matches.
GOALKEEPING, DEFENSE, AND MIDFIELD SQUAD
In Fenerbahçe's UEFA list, Ederson, Tarık Çetin, Engin Can Biterge, and Hulusi Ceylan were included in the goalkeeping position. The defense line consists of Çağlar Söyüncü, Yiğit Efe Demir, Mert Müldür, Jayden Oosterwolde, Nélson Semedo, Milan Skriniar, Levent Mercan, Archie Brown, Kamil Efe Üregen, and Boran Eligüzel.
In midfield, important names such as N'Golo Kanté, Mattéo Guendouzi, İsmail Yüksek, Fred, Edson Álvarez, Oğuz Aydın, Yasir Boz, and Anderson Talisca were included in the UEFA squad.
ATTACK LINE CONFIRMED
In the attack line of the yellow-blues, Kerem Aktürkoğlu, Sidiki Cherif, Marco Asensio, Dorgeles Nene, and Alaettin Ekici were listed as the players who will take on the roles.
NAMES REMOVED FROM THE UEFA LIST
In Fenerbahçe, Youssef En-Nesyri, Sebastian Szymanski, İrfan Can Kahveci, İrfan Can Eğribayat, and Jhon Duran were the names that did not make it to the UEFA Europa League squad.
