Two suspects who threw animal bones into a bushy area in the Erenler district of Sakarya were detained as a result of the conducted operations. Following the operation, 5 horses were seized.
Two suspects were detained for throwing animal bones into a bushy area in the Erenler district of Sakarya.
ANIMAL BONES FOUND BY THE HIGHWAY
The Erenler District Gendarmerie Command, in collaboration with the Smuggling and Organized Crime Prevention Branch and the Environmental Protection Team, conducted an investigation regarding the animal bones thrown in the area near the highway side road in Horozlar Neighborhood.
2 PEOPLE DETAINED
In this context, it was determined that individuals arriving in a covered pickup truck threw remains, believed to be horse or donkey bones, into the bushy area. The District Gendarmerie Command and JASAT teams identified the suspects as C.T. (48), H.T. (23), and S.T. (47) as a result of camera footage and investigations conducted in the area.
Suspects C.T. and H.T. were detained for the crime of "violating the Animal Protection Law."
AN OPERATION WAS CARRIED OUT AT A STABLE
Teams conducted an operation at a stable believed to be used for slaughtering. Five horses in the stable were seized to be handed over to the Sapanca District Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry. The Erenler District Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry teams also conducted an investigation related to the incident and prepared a report. Efforts are ongoing to capture the other suspect.
