The claim that Turk Telekom's services will be transferred to private companies has caused confusion. A denial came from the Presidency's Communication Directorate Disinformation Combat Center regarding the claim.
STATEMENT FROM THE COMMUNICATION DIRECTORATE
In a statement made from the social media account of the Disinformation Combat Center, it was stated, "The claims circulating in some media outlets and social media platforms; 'Turk Telekom's services will be transferred to private companies and this will lead to public harm' contain disinformation. The application in question at Turk Telekom consists of routine operational processes that are widely used in the industry and do not imply any service transfer. There is no public harm related to the business model in question, and the statements suggesting a 100% increase for subscribers are also unfounded. It is strongly requested that speculative claims aimed at misleading the public be disregarded."
