In the investigation regarding the collapse at the mine in the Mengen district of Bolu, 1 of the 4 suspects detained has been arrested. Rescue teams have been working non-stop for 48 hours to reach 49-year-old worker Muhammed Özkul, who is trapped under the rubble. While the hopeful wait in the area continues, the investigation is being conducted from multiple angles.
The investigation launched by the Bolu Chief Public Prosecutor's Office following the collapse at a mine belonging to Yanar Elmas Mining company, operating in the Mengen district of Bolu, continues in multiple directions.
1 SUSPECT ARRESTED
Within the scope of the investigation, 4 suspects taken into custody by the District Gendarmerie Command were referred to the courthouse after their procedures at the station. Among the suspects brought before the judge, D.Y. was arrested and sent to prison, while A.B. and İ.Y. were placed under judicial control with the condition of house arrest. The other suspect was released after his questioning at the prosecutor's office.
EFFORTS CONTINUE FOR 48 HOURS
Meanwhile, the efforts initiated by AFAD and search and rescue teams to recover the lifeless body of 49-year-old Muhammed Özkul, who remained trapped under the rubble in the incident, continue non-stop. The teams' intense rescue work at the site has passed 48 hours.
