THEY STIRRED UP TROUBLE AFTER THE SCHOOL ATTACKS
Consecutive school attacks in Şanlıurfa and Kahramanmaraş plunged all of Turkey into mourning. After the attacks, security forces took action against individuals who shared misleading information, especially on social media, and threatened the public.
127 PEOPLE ARRESTED, 1,115 SITES BLOCKED FROM ACCESS
In a statement made by the General Directorate of Security, it was said, "Within the scope of the activities carried out as a result of the school attacks that occurred in our provinces of Şanlıurfa and Kahramanmaraş, access to 1,115 URL addresses has been blocked. 174 individuals who made misleading posts, issued threats, and called for action have been identified; 127 individuals have been arrested. Legal proceedings against the suspects are ongoing. Work against posts and activities that are provocative, aim to mislead the public, and disrupt the peace of our nation continues with determination."
