The incident occurred near the pier in Belkız Quarter, a rural area of Nizip district. According to claims, Muhammed Cabir entered the Euphrates River with his friends to cool off 2 days ago. A search operation was initiated in the area for the child who disappeared in the water shortly after.
LIFELESS BODY FOUND ON WATER SURFACE
In the morning hours, citizens who saw a motionless person on the river surface reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Upon the report, gendarmerie, health, and diver teams were dispatched to the area. As a result of the teams' work, the person retrieved from the water was identified as Muhammed Cabir, who had been missing for 2 days. Health teams confirmed that the 14-year-old child had lost his life.
BODY HANDED OVER TO FAMILY
Muhammed Cabir's body was handed over to his family for burial after on-site investigations and procedures at the Gaziantep Forensic Medicine Institute. An investigation has been launched into the incident.
