The "Global Sumud Fleet," established to break Israel's blockade on Gaza, set sail into the Mediterranean from Marmaris, Muğla. The fleet consists of a total of 54 boats, with numerous activists from 70 countries on board. HAK-İŞ General President Mahmut Arslan also joined one of the boats in the fleet to show support.

THE FLEET DEPARTED FROM MARMARIS

The "Global Sumud Fleet," created to support Gaza, set sail into the Mediterranean after completing preparations in Marmaris. Consisting of a total of 54 boats, the fleet departed to protest Israel's blockade of Gaza and to deliver a message of humanitarian support. Activists held a technical meeting with captains before departure.

BOATS DEPARTED FROM TWO POINTS

Following the meeting, some of the boats departed from the Aktaş area, while others set sail from Albatros Marina. The fleet included Global Sumud Fleet Board members Sümeyra Akdeniz Ordu, Dr. Imane el Makhloufi, Said Abukeshek, Ko Tinmaung, and Nathalia Maria, along with many activists from 70 countries.

HAK-İŞ CHAIRMAN ALSO PARTICIPATED

It was learned that HAK-İŞ Chairman Mahmut Arslan also supported the movement by being on one of the boats in the fleet. Marmaris District Governor Nurullah Kaya came to the marina before the boats departed and monitored the preparations on site.
