Approximately 150 kilograms of methamphetamine were found in a truck loaded with onions in the Haymana district of Ankara. According to the information obtained, the incident occurred in the Katrancı neighborhood of Haymana. Teams acting on a tip that drugs were being transported among the onion load in the trailer of the truck with Iranian plates 94 AB 414 took action. Under the coordination of the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, technical and physical surveillance of the truck was initiated by teams from the Ankara and Ağrı Provincial Police Department Anti-Narcotics Branch Directorate.
1 PERSON DETAINED
Following the surveillance, an operation was carried out after the truck reached the warehouse where it was to unload the drugs. During the searches, approximately 150 kilograms of methamphetamine hidden among the onions were seized. Within the scope of the operation, the truck driver F.Y. and one person considered to be connected with the supply of the drugs to the warehouse were detained. It was learned that the procedures of the suspects at the police station are ongoing, and it was reported that the investigation into the incident continues under the coordination of the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
