Businessman Erdal E., who lives in Istanbul, purchased a brand new Porsche Cayenne from Slovakia. The vehicle, which the businessman bought for 16 million, started to malfunction in different parts before it even reached 2,000 kilometers. When there were spills and defects in the luxury vehicle's dashboard upholstery, the authorized service completely replaced the dashboard. FAULTS IN THE WINDOWSNot long after, the second issue occurred with the automatic window buttons of the vehicle. Although the service resolved the problem by changing the buttons, soon after, there was a malfunction in the windows. The windows of the million-dollar vehicle constantly fogged up, and the problem could not be resolved; vehicle parts were arriving late from abroad. AUTORIZED SERVICE REJECTED THE REQUESTAccording to a report in Sabah, this situation had become unbearable for Erdal E. He stated to the authorized service that the vehicle he purchased as brand new was defective from the factory and constantly malfunctioned, requesting that the vehicle be replaced with a new one. The authorized service rejected the request, and this time the vehicle's headlights malfunctioned. HE SUED DOĞUŞ AUTOMOTIVENoticing that the vehicle had become unusable, Erdal E. applied to the Istanbul Consumer Court and sued Doğuş Automotive. In the lawsuit submitted through his lawyer Feyzullah Yeşilyayla, he stated, "It is impossible for my client to have noticed these defects in the vehicle beforehand. The defect in the vehicle is of a kind that will also emerge during use and is not due to usage; it is a hidden defect." HE WANTS THE VEHICLE TO BE REPLACEDErdal E. requested that his defective vehicle be replaced with the same model vehicle that is free of defects, based on the evidence he submitted to the case file. The case will be heard by the Istanbul Consumer Court.
