Meanwhile, the feature for asking questions by tagging Grok has been disabled, and the offensive responses that were given have started to be removed.

The artificial intelligence application named Grok, belonging to the social media platform X, has been investigated by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office due to the presence of insulting remarks in many responses given to users.

STATEMENT FROM X

In a statement made from Grok's account regarding the offensive messages, the following expressions were used:

"We are aware of the inappropriate shares and are actively working to remove them. After becoming aware of the content, we took action to ban hate speech. xAI only trains those who seek the truth. Thanks to millions of users on X, we can rapidly update the model."

X MANAGEMENT STARTED DELETING RESPONSES

Following the investigation initiated by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was observed that the X management deleted the criminal responses given by Grok.

APPLICATION TO BTK FOR ACCESS BLOCK

After the ex officio investigation was initiated, the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office applied to the court and obtained a decision for access blocking. The decision of the peace criminal court was sent to the Information Technologies and Communications Authority to be communicated to the access provider.

In a statement from the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was stated: "Due to Grok's insults towards Atatürk, our esteemed President, and our Prophet, the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office took minutes ex officio and applied to the peace criminal court for an access blocking decision, and the relevant court issued an access blocking decision to be sent to BTK."
