UNDERWATER SEARCH AND RESCUE TEAMS DISPATCHED TO THE REGION
Yesterday, S.R. and S.S., Syrian nationals, entered the Ceyhan River in the Yakapınar neighborhood of Yüreğir district to cool off, and after swimming for a while, they were caught in the current. The children disappeared from sight after a while, and upon the notice of those nearby who noticed the situation, gendarmerie underwater search and rescue teams were dispatched to the region.
SEARCHES PAUSED AS DARKNESS FELL
The teams, who began a search operation in the area where the children's clothes and slippers were found, could not achieve any results. With darkness falling, the efforts were paused.
Today, with the first light of day, the efforts resumed. Diver gendarmes continue their work to find the children.
