Murat Karakan died and a worker was seriously injured after falling from a height of 11 meters due to the breaking of scaffolding planks at a mosque under construction in Aydın's İncirliova district.
In the İncirliova district of AYDIN, during the ongoing construction of a mosque, worker Murat Karakan (44) died and Osman Ş. (44) was seriously injured after falling from a height of 11 meters when the planks on the scaffolding they were standing on broke.
FELL FROM 11 METERS
The incident occurred around 19:00 at a mosque construction site on Adnan Menderes Boulevard in Acarlar Neighborhood. According to allegations, Murat Karakan and Osman Ş., who were plastering the dome section, fell from a height of 11 meters after the planks on the scaffolding they were on broke. Following the report, health and police teams were dispatched to the scene.
DIED
During the check by health teams, it was determined that Murat Karakan had died. Osman Ş., who was seriously injured, was taken to Aydın City Hospital by ambulance and placed under treatment. The body of the deceased Murat Karakan was taken to the hospital morgue after on-site examinations.
CAME DOWN FROM SCAFFOLDING 10 MINUTES EARLIER
Meanwhile, it was learned that Murat Karakan, Merdan Ü., and Osman Ş. had come to Aydın from Çorum to work on the mosque construction. It was also learned that Merdan Ü. had come down from the scaffolding 10 minutes before the incident to drink tea. An investigation into the incident has been launched.
