In the Fatsa district of Ordu province, 29 direction and information signs located at the junction on the Fatsa-Korgan-Kumru road are drawing drivers' reactions. The excessive number of signs and their disorderly placement make it difficult, especially for drivers using the area for the first time, to find their way, turning traffic into a labyrinth and chaos instead of easing navigation. Drivers, stating that traffic safety is compromised due to incorrect maneuvers, are demanding an urgent simplification at the junction.
Located within the boundaries of Kösebucağı Neighborhood in the Fatsa district of Ordu, on the Fatsa-Korgan-Kumru road, a total of 29 direction and information signs at the junction providing access to the Korgan district are distracting drivers.
DRIVERS USING THE ROAD FOR THE FIRST TIME ARE CONFUSED: IT MAKES THINGS MORE COMPLICATED INSTEAD OF EASIER
Especially drivers using the area for the first time have difficulty determining the correct direction due to the density and irregular placement of the signs.
Drivers state that the excessive number of signs at the junction makes navigation more complicated rather than easier, and they demand a review of the current arrangement.
Drivers note that wrong maneuvers are occasionally made at the junction, negatively affecting traffic safety, and they request the creation of a clear and organized direction system.
"THOSE USING THE ROAD FOR THE FIRST TIME GET VERY CONFUSED"
Mahmut Ali Karakuş, who stated that they use the road constantly but many drivers get confused, said, "We go to Çatalpınar district very often and generally use this road. On this road, those coming from outside can mix up the roads due to the density of the signs. It's not a problem for those accustomed, but for those who are not, it's a dangerous situation, a bit confusing."
"THERE IS CHAOS HERE"
Kubilay Gemicioğlu said that the junction was arranged this way 5-6 years ago and has caused confusion ever since, especially for drivers unfamiliar with it. Gemicioğlu stated, "This place has become like a labyrinth, there are too many signs. For those coming for the first time, there is chaos; there have been accidents before. People face a confusing situation. There are nearly 30 unnecessary signs here. We want a simpler and more orderly arrangement here."
