CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who provided significant support to Ahbap particularly during the Kahramanmaraş earthquakes, spoke about Haluk Levent's detention in the investigation targeting Ahbap. Speaking on a live broadcast, Kılıçdaroğlu said, 'I was very surprised about Haluk Levent and Ahbap. Truly surprised. He appeared during the earthquake; people didn't give to Kızılay. They took it to him. This is what I call cleansing. Not just in CHP. There should be a cleansing across Turkey, in the bureaucracy.'

Kılıçdaroğlu, stating that he was very surprised, recalled that during the earthquake period, citizens delivered their aid to Ahbap instead of the Red Crescent.
Speaking on the tv100 broadcast, Kılıçdaroğlu said: "I was very surprised by Haluk Levent and Ahbap. Truly surprised. During the earthquake, he emerged, and people did not give to the Red Crescent. They took it and gave it to him. This is what I call purification. Not only in CHP. There should be purification throughout Turkey, in bureaucracy."
