Heavy rains in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region have caused floods that killed 39 people. According to Xinhua, citing local authorities, extreme rainfall led to the floods in the region.
The report stated that 39 people died in the floods, some due to a crack in a dam in Nanning city, and 9 people are missing.
HUNDREDS EVACUATED
It was announced that a crack formed in the Liulan Dam in Nanning city, part of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, due to days of flooding in southern China, and hundreds of people were evacuated.
Images shared on social media showed farmland and telephone poles submerged by floodwaters, and some people seeking help from rooftops.
