325 PEOPLE DETAINED IN LONDON

In London, the capital of the UK, hundreds of people were detained at a solidarity demonstration for Palestine Action, which was banned due to its actions targeting companies doing business with Israel. The London Metropolitan Police, announcing the latest figures regarding the demonstration held on Saturday in front of the US Embassy in London, reported that the number of detentions, previously announced as 139, had risen to 325. The police statement included the following: "Yesterday (Saturday), a total of 325 people were detained. The vast majority of those detained, 320 people, were detained on suspicion of supporting a banned organization under the Terrorism Act." The statement did not provide information on the grounds for the detention of the other 5 people.

NUMBER OF DETENTIONS REACHES 4,200

The protests that began in the UK after Palestine Action was banned resulted in thousands of people being detained. Since July 5, 2025, the total number of people detained in actions organized in support of the group has risen to 4,200 with the addition of the latest 320 people. Protesters continue their actions, arguing that the ban decision obstructs freedom of expression. The banners carried by participants in the protests read, "I am against genocide; I support Palestine Action." Some protesters are joining the actions despite risking detention on charges of supporting a banned organization.

CASES OF 2,500 PEOPLE AWAIT CRITICAL DECISION

Cases have been filed against approximately 2,500 people detained at demonstrations in support of Palestine Action on charges of supporting banned organizations. The hearings in these cases will begin after the appeal process regarding the group's banning. Under regulations in force in the UK, the offense of supporting a banned organization can carry a prison sentence of up to 14 years. It also draws attention that among those participating in the actions are especially elderly British citizens.

HIGH COURT TO CONVENE ON NOVEMBER 4

In the process regarding Palestine Action's legal status, attention has turned to the UK High Court. On November 4, the court will begin hearing the appeal application regarding the legality of the group's banning as a terrorist organization.
