In an operation organized by the Customs Enforcement teams of the Ministry of Trade at the İpsala Customs Gate in Edirne, 4 tons and 321 kilograms of pregabalin-type drugs with a market value of 3 billion 25 million Turkish Liras were seized. The drugs were confiscated from a truck attempting to enter Turkey from Greece, and an investigation into the incident is being conducted by the İpsala Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
An operation was conducted by the Customs Enforcement teams affiliated with the Ministry of Trade as part of the fight against narcotic crimes at the İpsala Customs Gate in Edirne.
4.3 TONS OF DRUGS SEIZED
In the operation carried out, 4 tons and 321 kilograms of pregabalin-type drugs were seized. A truck coming from Greece to the İpsala Customs area for entry into the country was taken to the search hangar with the accompaniment of personnel from the İpsala Customs Enforcement Anti-Smuggling and Intelligence Directorate for a detailed search.
MARKET VALUE EXCEEDS 3 BILLION TL
In the searches conducted, pregabalin-type drugs worth 3 billion 25 million TL were seized. The İpsala Chief Public Prosecutor's Office is continuing the investigation regarding the operation.
