ANKARA (AA) — A seven-month-old baby in the UK died after an attack by the family's pet dog, local media reported Wednesday.
The dog bit the baby girl, seriously injuring her head, West Midlands Police reportedly said on the incident that occurred Sunday in Coventry, according to the Guardian.
She died at the hospital despite receiving immediate treatment, the same source added.
Police removed the dog from the family's home and destroyed it, according to the sources, without giving further detail about its breed other than that it was not categorized as dangerous. -
