THEY SET OFF FIREWORKS WHILE DRIVING
The incident occurred yesterday on Zubeyde Hanim Street. According to the information obtained, fireworks were set off from a vehicle that was part of a wedding convoy while it was moving. This dangerous act, carried out while traffic was flowing, alarmed both the other vehicles in the convoy and the citizens in the vicinity. The moment of the incident was recorded on a mobile phone camera by a person nearby.
4 PEOPLE WERE TAKEN INTO CUSTODY
Following this dangerous entertainment, teams from the Traffic Branch Directorate of the Elazig Provincial Police Department took action. The vehicles in the convoy and the individuals who set off the fireworks were identified one by one. A total fine of 900 thousand lira was imposed on 10 vehicles in the convoy under Article 46/2 N-1 of the Highway Traffic Law, while the 4 people who set off the fireworks were taken into custody. It was learned that the suspects, who were referred to the courthouse, were released with the condition of being tried without detention.
On the other hand, it was reported that an administrative fine totaling 25 thousand 935 TL was imposed under Article 32 of the Misdemeanor Law on the wedding host who set off fireworks in the wedding hall parking lot, the manager responsible for the wedding hall, the 4 individuals who set off fireworks from the vehicle, and also the business where they purchased the fireworks.
