It has been revealed that a 10-year-old child of Syrian nationality, who had been missing for 2 days in the Reyhanlı district of Hatay, was beaten by his uncle and then left to die with part of his body buried in the ground. The child, who was taken out of the ground, was hospitalized, while his uncle was detained.

SEARCHING FOR 2 DAYS
Teams from the Reyhanlı Gendarmerie Command continued their efforts to locate A.A., whose family reported him missing 2 days ago, in the Kurtuluş neighborhood. The teams, examining security camera footage, determined that A.A. had been taken to the vicinity of the Reyhanlı Dam by his uncle, M.E.
LEFT TO DIE BURIED IN THE GROUND WHILE INJURED
In the operation supported by the search and rescue teams of the Humanitarian Relief Foundation (IHH), the child was found in the Mehmetbeyli area. The child, whose body was partially buried and who was determined to have been injured on the head due to assault, was taken to Reyhanlı State Hospital by the medical team.
UNCLE IN CUSTODY
After the initial intervention here, A.A. was transferred to Hatay Mustafa Kemal University Research and Application Hospital. The suspect M.E., who was detained by the gendarmerie teams, is undergoing processing.
