While the war initiated by the US and Israel against Iran continues, a striking statement came from the Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen.
A HISTORICAL RESPONSE HAS BEEN GIVEN
The Houthis warned that they could close the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait if Gulf countries join the war alongside the US and Israel.
"WE HAVE A HUMANITARIAN RESPONSIBILITY THAT PREVENTS US FROM REMAINING SILENT"
Mohammed Mansur, the Deputy Minister of Information of the Houthi administration based in Sana'a, which is not recognized by the international community, stated in a related announcement, "We have a religious, moral, and humanitarian responsibility that prevents us from remaining silent against what is happening. If the aggression towards Iran and Lebanon brutally escalates, or if any Gulf country directly engages in military operations to support Zionist Israel or the US, closing the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait is an option that can be implemented by us."
US-ISRAEL ATTACKS ON IRAN
On February 28, while negotiations were ongoing between Tehran and Washington, Israel and the US launched a military attack on Iran. In response, Iran targeted certain regional countries, including Qatar, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Bahrain, where US bases are located, with attacks on identified targets. In the US-Israel attacks, former Iranian leader Ali Khamenei, as well as many high-ranking officials, were killed.
