A decision has been made regarding a trainer who is accused of sexually abusing a 14-year-old girl in Kocaeli by convincing her that they had been in a romantic relationship for two years. In his defense, the defendant claimed that his student was in love with him platonically and that the accusations were merely slander. He was sentenced to 30 years in prison for "qualified sexual abuse" and 6 years for "robbery."
In the incident that occurred in 2023, a 14-year-old girl, S.T., was sexually abused by her taekwondo instructor for 2 years in Gölcük district of Kocaeli. It was learned that S.T. was convinced that she was in a romantic relationship with her married instructor, E.Y. (40), who has two children.
HIS WIFE ALSO ASSAULTED THE LITTLE GIRL
E.Y.'s teacher wife, D.Y., learned about the situation after catching messages. D.Y., who met with S.T. and deleted photos from her phone, assaulted her daughter. E.Y. broke the phone of the girl he abused and threatened her not to tell anyone, saying he would kill her if she did. After this incident, S.T. went to the police station and filed a complaint. 28 days after the complaint, E.Y.'s statement was taken. E.Y., who was referred to the court, was released under judicial control and a travel ban.
"SHE HAD PLATONIC FEELINGS FOR ME"
The third hearing of the case related to the incident continued at the Kocaeli 1st Heavy Penal Court. The defendant E.Y., who was arrested at the first hearing, attended the session along with his lawyer, victim S.T., her mother, and her lawyer. Denying the accusations, taekwondo instructor E.Y. stated, "I definitely did not sexually abuse S.T. There has been no sexual messaging between us in any way. Messages are being stacked to create a perception. S.T. had platonic feelings for me. S.T. said my wife threatened her with a knife, and she punished me and my wife. I have been a teacher for 18 years; I have never even broken anyone's heart, let alone abuse. What is said is a fabrication, and I am being slandered."
HE RECEIVED A 36-YEAR PRISON SENTENCE
The defendant was sentenced to 30 years in prison for the crime of "qualified sexual abuse" due to being an educator. Additionally, he was given a 6-year prison sentence for the crime of "robbery," and a criminal complaint was filed against him for "deprivation of liberty."

On the other hand, the young girl stated in her testimony included in the indictment that her relationship with E.Y. started in the summer of 2021 and that she shared everything that upset her with him. S.T. said they met frequently, "We occasionally went to his house in Hamidiye village. We met in the changing room of the taekwondo hall. We also met at E.Y.'s pet shop, where the sexual abuse occurred. In August 2021, we went back to that house in Karamürsel that we had previously visited, and he had sexual intercourse with me there."

Stating that E.Y. has a wife and two children, S.T. said, "E.Y. has a wife named D.Y. D.Y. saw our messages. E.Y. denied the messages. When D.Y. called me to ask about the situation, I accidentally let some things slip. D.Y. tried to meet me at a café to get me to talk. She forcibly took my phone and was taking pictures of it. At the same time, she was deleting the photos on my phone to ensure nothing came out. The woman was going to turn a blind eye to this. She said to me, 'Do you think I'm going to divorce? I won't put the father of my children in this situation.' Then she took my hand and said, 'I am as old as your sister. You can tell me everything.' We went to their house with D.Y. E.Y. opened the door. D.Y. said that her husband denied the incident but that I confessed everything. D.Y. went crazy, had a nervous breakdown, and tried to hit me. E.Y. held her back. D.Y. went to the kitchen and got a knife. She was saying, 'I will finish him.' E.Y. made her throw the knife away. D.Y. pushed me to the ground, choked me, and slapped me. For a while, my vision blurred. I experienced something like semi-unconsciousness," she said.
"HE THREATENED ME SAYING HE WOULD CUT OFF MY HEAD"
S.T., who stated that she has been attending the same taekwondo course since she was 7 years old, said, "After this incident, E.Y. drove me home. E.Y. broke my phone because it had photos of us. He threatened me, saying, 'You will no longer live; I will cut off your head. I will tear you apart.' E.Y. knew how old I was; I grew up next to him. I had been in his taekwondo school since I was 7. But E.Y. told me, 'You look 25 years old. Why would I be with someone wrinkled when I could be with a young girl? You are my special one.' No one in my family noticed this relationship; no one knows about this situation yet," she said.
