The construction of the city's new stadium in Kahramanmaraş, which has a capacity of 17,500 spectators, is progressing rapidly. The foundation works and the majority of the main load-bearing system of the new stadium, which has been brought to the city with a total investment of 2 billion TL, have been completed.
The stadium project, which Kahramanmaraş has been eagerly waiting for many years and is one of its most important needs, is progressing rapidly. Significant stages have been completed in the modern stadium project implemented in Dulkadiroğlu İstasyon Neighborhood, while intense work is being carried out at the construction site.
A TOTAL INVESTMENT OF 2 BILLION TL
The new stadium, which is being brought to the city with a total investment of 2 billion TL, has completed a large portion of its foundation works and main load-bearing system. As part of the project, a significant part of the stands is also being constructed, while the structural elements around the field and the stand assembly works are being carried out simultaneously. In the ongoing works at the construction site, the third floor has been reached in the north, east, and west stands, while the construction of the south stand is also progressing rapidly. With the rise of the stand blocks, the overall silhouette of the stadium is becoming more distinct every day.
CAPACITY OF 17,500 SPECTATORS
The stadium, designed to have a capacity of 17,500 spectators, is intended to be more than just a sports facility; it is designed as a modern living and event space. The project will include modern boxes, spacious and functional foyer areas, social facilities, gyms, and all technical infrastructure elements that should be present in contemporary stadiums. Thus, the facility will gain a versatile center that can host both sports competitions and various organizations. Mayor of the Metropolitan Municipality, Fırat Görgel, stated in his evaluation regarding the stage reached in the stadium construction that an important investment, which the city has been waiting for many years, is rapidly rising. Mayor Görgel said, "The stadium project, which our city has been waiting for many years, is progressing at a great pace. The foundation works and a large portion of the load-bearing system have been completed, and the stands continue to rise. The silhouette of the stadium becomes more distinct every day. This project is not just a sports facility; it is also a very important investment that will add value to Kahramanmaraş's social life, youth, and sports culture. When completed, both our sports infrastructure will be strengthened, and our city will gain a new attraction center," he expressed.
