In an incident that occurred around 00:30 at night on Hereke Street in Hürriyet Neighborhood, Bahçelievler, Istanbul, according to allegations, some sounds came from the columns of a 7-story building located next to a construction site where foundation excavation was being carried out. 45 people living in the building panicked and rushed out to the street. Upon notification, police and municipal police teams were dispatched to the scene. Due to the width of the foundation excavation at the construction site, Hereke, Fatih, and Polat streets were closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic.

It was learned that 45 residents of the 7-story building, from which cracking sounds were heard, would spend the night at their relatives' homes, while a dispute broke out between the contractor overseeing the foundation excavation for the construction next to the building and the residents. Police teams intervened in the dispute. It was reported that the inspection of the building where the cracking sounds originated would continue in the morning hours.
