On the day the United States went to the polls for congressional midterm elections, a giant banner depicting US President Donald Trump behind bars was hung in Enghelab Square in Iran's capital, Tehran. In addition to the banner, which carried the message "We will kill Trump" in English and Persian, the same death threat was repeated in another image reported to have been published by Iranian state media.
On November 3, when millions of voters in the United States cast their ballots for the congressional midterm elections, posters targeting Trump drew attention in Iran's capital, Tehran.
OPEN DEATH THREAT AGAINST TRUMP
In the giant poster hung in Tehran's Revolution Square, U.S. President Donald Trump was depicted symbolically behind bars. The message "We will kill Trump" was written on the poster in English and Persian.
ALSO PUBLISHED IN IRANIAN STATE MEDIA
Meanwhile, in another image reportedly published by Iranian state media, U.S. President Donald Trump, U.S. Vice President JD Vance, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Trump's Special Envoy Steve Witkoff were depicted in a composition engulfed in flames, with U.S. and Israeli flags behind them.
The poster included the phrase "We will kill Trump" in English and Persian.
CALL FOR PROTESTS IN TEHRAN
Meanwhile, the poster called for participation in demonstrations to be held on the occasion of 13 Aban.
November 4, which corresponds to 13 Aban in the Iranian calendar, is commemorated as the anniversary of the seizure of the U.S. Embassy in Tehran in 1979. Anti-U.S. demonstrations are held in the country every year on this date.
The poster also announced an event to be held at 14:00 in Revolution Square in Tehran.
