A bedridden man lost his life in a house fire in Samsun.

A fire broke out last night in the single-story house located on Arap Uşağı Street in the Esençay neighborhood of Bafra district in Samsun. Firefighters who arrived at the scene after the notification quickly extinguished the fire. During their inspection inside, the teams encountered the lifeless body of Hüseyin Bircan, who lived in the house. Hüseyin Bircan's body was taken to the Bafra State Hospital morgue.

AN INVESTIGATION HAS BEEN INITIATED

In the fire extinguished by the firefighters, Hüseyin Bircan (80), who was bedridden and lived with his son and daughter-in-law, lost his life. After the initial examinations, the body was sent to the Istanbul Forensic Medicine Institution for an autopsy. While the possibility that the fire started from the stove or an electric blanket is being considered, it was reported that an investigation has been initiated regarding the incident.

The teams have started working to determine the cause of the fire.
