Soral stated in his announcement: "In a period where our constitutional and legal rights are completely suspended, and those who are oppositional are treated like second-class citizens, rescuing Mr. Ümit Özdağ from the claws of illegality was the most important and sole duty; we all made efforts for this.
The economic, social, and legal troubles Turkey has faced in the last 23 years under the AKP government are evident... We constantly make these observations. However, making observations is insufficient; we must also find solutions and present them to the nation. To be able to recover from this devastation and to complete the Atatürk revolution, a "founding cadre" akin to that of 1923 is necessary.
Indeed, in my X message dated May 21, which I quoted below, I addressed this issue with the following words: "(...) I believe that both in reaching the Atatürkist, enlightened, intellectual cadres of society and in creating social synergy by incorporating them into the party, and in terms of the ideological perspective and behavior that dominates the party, it has fallen short in responding to today's needs."
I believe that within the "founding cadre" I defined, there should be names like Türker Ertürk, Ümit Kocasakal, Adnan İslamoğulları, Ahmet Yavuz, Servet Avcı, and other well-known, Atatürkist, experienced individuals whose names I cannot mention. I believe that the Victory Party should transform into a cadre party managed by institutional and collective intelligence.
"ÖZDAĞ'S PREFERENCES HAVE ALWAYS BEEN DIFFERENT FROM MINE"
I see such a well-equipped cadre and collective management as essential for a party aiming for power that can cope with today's regional and national chaos. Of course, these names can only be convinced not with a call like "let's do politics together," but with a commitment to collective intelligence and management. This fundamental fact lies at the core of a cadre party. However, Mr. Ümit Özdağ's comments and preferences on this matter have always been different from mine.
"HE MAY HAVE DECIDED TO CHANGE HIS POLITICAL APPROACH DURING THE DETENTION PROCESS"
After his unlawful detention, I see that he remains at the same point regarding cadre, institutionalization, and opening up to the Atatürkist camp. Of course, he may have also decided to change his political approach during the difficult process of his unlawful detention. Ultimately, all of this is his discretion. He is the chairman of the party, and we will respect his preferences.
"ATATÜRKISM IS ABOUT ACTION"
However, Atatürkism is revolutionary. It is about preserving the unitary structure, nationalism, statism, populism, meritocracy, science, law, and struggle. The Republic of Turkey needs Atatürkism as much as it needs air and water during this process it is going through. Unfortunately, one cannot be Atatürkist merely by speaking... It is through action...
Being in a place where you do not believe you can solve the country's problems, solely for political career goals, is not a sincere stance towards the chairman, the citizens who trust us, or myself. On the contrary, it would be deceiving everyone. That is not compatible with my nature. I extend my best wishes, love, and respect to all organizations, members, and volunteers of the Victory Party and to Mr. Ümit Özdağ."
