The Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, İbrahim Yumaklı, shared the latest situation regarding the ongoing fires in many cities of the country. Minister Yumaklı stated, "The fires in İzmir, Manisa, and Hatay have been partially brought under control. Cooling efforts are ongoing."

With the warming of the weather in the summer months, the nightmare returned. Forest fires broke out across Turkey. While the fight against the flames continues, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı announced the latest situation.

"FIRES IN İZMİR, MANİSA, AND HATAY ARE PARTIALLY UNDER CONTROL"

Minister Yumaklı, who appeared before the cameras in Hatay, shared the encouraging news. Yumaklı stated, "The fires in İzmir, Manisa, and Hatay are partially under control. Cooling efforts are ongoing. The wind speed has exceeded 67 km."

ISPARTA FIRE IS PARTIALLY UNDER CONTROL

The forest fire that broke out in the Sütçüler district of Isparta has been brought under control. A fire broke out in the forested area of the Yaylabel village Yaka Neighborhood for an undetermined reason. The fire grew rapidly due to the wind's effect. Upon notification, Isparta Regional Directorate of Forestry, AFAD, and fire brigade teams were dispatched to the area. Initially, 2 helicopters, 20 water tankers, 4 fire trucks, and many workers intervened in the fire. The villages of Yukarı Yaylabel, Yaka, and Ayanaç, which were close to the flames, were evacuated as a precaution. The fire that broke out in the area near residential areas has been brought under control.

3 HECTARES OF LAND DAMAGED IN MANAVGAT

A fire broke out in the forested area of Dolbazlar Neighborhood in the Manavgat district of Antalya for an undetermined reason. The flames spread rapidly due to the wind's effect. Upon notification, the Antalya Regional Directorate of Forestry and the Metropolitan Municipality fire brigade teams were dispatched to the area. The fire was intervened with 1 helicopter, 4 water tankers, 1 water tanker, 2 first response vehicles, and many fire-fighting workers.

With the efforts of the teams, the fire has been brought under control. A total of 3 hectares of forested area were damaged due to the fire.

DAMAGE ASSESSMENT WORK CONTINUES

Minister of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change Murat Kurum announced that 132 independent units have been severely damaged in the forest fires in 5 provinces so far.

Minister Kurum shared the latest situation regarding the ongoing damage assessment work in 5 provinces related to the forest fires on his social media account. Minister Kurum stated, "Our damage assessment work continues in İzmir, Hatay, Adana, Manisa, and Isparta regarding the forest fires in our country. So far in İzmir; we have determined that 114 independent units, including 110 residences, are severely damaged in Bornova, Gaziemir, and Seferihisar, and we have identified 8 in Adana, 6 in Manisa, and 4 in Hatay as severely damaged. After our damage assessment work is completed, we will quickly heal the wounds. I wish all our citizens a speedy recovery."
