Gençlerbirliği head coach Bernd Storck made statements before the Galatasaray match in the Süper Lig. Storck stated that he expects Okan Buruk to make changes in the squad and that they will be prepared for everything.
In the 8th week of the Trendyol Süper Lig, head coach Bernd Storck of Gençlerbirliği, who will face Galatasaray, made statements to members of the press before training.
'THEY PLAYED VERY WELL'
Referring to Galatasaray's match against Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League, Storck drew attention to the quality of the two teams and said, 'It was a very difficult match for Galatasaray, but they played very well. They took a 1-0 lead. If they had been a bit luckier, with a 1-centimeter difference, they could have gone 2-0 ahead as well. Then the match could have been different for Galatasaray and Barcelona. However, you saw Barcelona's quality, and you also saw Galatasaray's quality. They have a top-level team. I think we learned a lot from the match.'
'HE WILL ALSO MAKE SOME CHANGES'
Expressing that he expects Okan Buruk to make changes in the squad and that they will be prepared for everything, the experienced coach said, 'The players watched the match. But in my opinion, the head coach will also make some changes against us on Saturday. We know Galatasaray's style of play, how they play in defense, how they play in attack. We learned a lot from this match. We will see in the match how this affects us. However, I think we will find a good solution to play against them. I will inform the players, and I think we are on the right path.' he assessed.
'WE DEFINITELY WANT TO WIN'
Stating that they want to progress in the Ziraat Turkish Cup, Storck said, 'Every match is important for us. Now we will have a match with Galatasaray. I think all our players will come out of that match with a good experience. But as a club, we definitely want to progress in the cup. We have a match at home, and we definitely want to win that match. We will take the field with our good players. Of course, there will also be players we will give a chance to.' he stated.
