LOST CONTROL OF THE WHEEL
The accident happened around 21:00 yesterday on the Konya-Hadim highway at the Alibeyhüyüğü Neighborhood location. According to the information obtained, the car with license plate 42 NV 467, driven by Hasan Gürşahin (63), veered out of control for an unknown reason, crossed into the opposite lane, and collided violently with the pickup truck with license plate 42 AUS 845, driven by Ahmet Uysal (32), which was coming from the opposite direction.
THE CAR WAS REDUCED TO SCRAP
As the car was almost reduced to a pile of scrap metal due to the impact of the collision, numerous gendarmerie, health, and fire brigade teams were dispatched to the scene upon the reports of nearby citizens.
The teams arriving at the scene extracted the heavily injured car driver Hasan Gürşahin, his wife Havva Gürşahin (63) who was with him, and the pickup truck driver Ahmet Uysal from the vehicles and provided initial medical intervention.
PAINFUL NEWS CAME FROM THE HOSPITAL
Among the injured who were urgently rushed to Çumra State Hospital by ambulances, the Gürşahin couple could not be saved despite all the doctors' efforts and lost their lives. It was learned that the general health condition of the injured pickup truck driver Ahmet Uysal was good. Gendarmerie teams launched an investigation into the accident.
