60-year-old Reşit Timuçin, walking in the mosque courtyard in Arnavutköy, was attacked by an unidentified armed assailant. Timuçin, who was hit by 4 bullets, lost his 3-day battle for life in the hospital where he was taken.
On January 7th, around 18:45, a chilling incident occurred in the courtyard of Adnan Menderes Mosque in the Adnan Menderes neighborhood of Arnavutköy district in Istanbul. According to allegations, an unidentified person approached 60-year-old Reşit Timuçin, who was walking in the mosque courtyard, and fired a gun that he pulled from his waist. The suspect fled the scene after the attack.
HE LOST HIS 3-DAY FIGHT FOR LIFE
Upon the notification of the surrounding people, emergency health and police teams arrived at the address. During the health teams' checks, it was determined that Timuçin had been hit by 4 bullets in the attack, and he passed away in the hospital 3 days later. The police launched an operation to capture the suspect.
