A classmate living in Manisa recounted the life of mathematics teacher Ayla Kara, who lost her life in an armed attack organized at a school in the Onikişubat district of Kahramanmaraş. Kara's friend said, 'She was a good and helpful person. She was someone who rushed to help everyone. If someone asked for her help, she would definitely assist and do her best. She was the same in her childhood; she always gave that impression.'
In the Onikişubat district of Kahramanmaraş, the classmate of mathematics teacher Ayla Kara, who lost her life in an armed attack organized at the school, and who lives in Manisa, described Kara's helpfulness.
AYLA TEACHER'S FRIEND TOLD
The sad news of Kara (55) was also met with sorrow in Urganlı Neighborhood of Turgutlu district of Manisa, her hometown which she left years ago. The neighborhood headman Şaban Duman (56) told the AA correspondent that Kara was both his childhood and classmate.
Expressing that they studied together in the same class for 8 years at Urganlı Atatürk Primary School and Urganlı Middle School with Kara, Duman stated that Kara moved to Turgutlu with her family in 1985 and continued her high school education there.
"SHE WAS THE SAME IN HER CHILDHOOD, HELPFUL"
Duman expressed that Kara was a sensitive person towards her environment from a young age, noting the following: "She was good, helpful. She was someone who rushed to help everyone. If someone asked her for help, she would definitely help, she would do her best. She was the same in her childhood, she always gave that impression. She would come here from time to time, we would meet. We would sit, chat. We would always talk about the old days, our school years, our friends. We would talk about those days."
Stating that they accumulated many memories with Kara, Duman said they experienced great sorrow when they received the sad news. Duman said, "An indescribable feeling. There are no words to say nor anything else. I called our school friends, everyone is sad, no one could believe it. It really is a very great pain."
