NEARING THE END OF THE BETTING AND MATCH-FIXING OPERATION
According to journalist Sinan Burhan's claim, the betting and match-fixing operation initiated during the tenure of Justice Minister Akın Gürlek as the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor is nearing its conclusion.
RELEGATION OR POINT DEDUCTION PENALTIES ON THE AGENDA
It has been stated that if match-fixing is detected within the scope of the ongoing investigation, relegation or point deduction penalties of up to 12 points are on the agenda for these clubs. Additionally, it was expressed that there would be no privileges for any team during this process.
INDICTMENT NEARLY COMPLETED
In this context, it is expected that the indictment regarding Eyüpspor President Murat Özkaya and Vice President Fatih Kulaksız, who are currently detained, will be issued this week, and a separate indictment prepared for 12 clubs and 33 suspects is also being expedited.
PRESIDENT ERDOĞAN GAVE INSTRUCTIONS
In the continuation of the news, it was stated that penalties would be applied even to players who bet small amounts, such as 10 to 15 Turkish liras, and that severe sanctions would be imposed on individuals and institutions clearly involved in match-fixing in favor of the opposing team. It was mentioned that President Erdoğan, who is determined to resolve the betting and match-fixing issue, has given instructions that "no one should be spared for clean football."
TEAMS AND OFFICIALS INVOLVED IN MATCH-FIXING TO BE ANNOUNCED
Finally, it was noted that the Turkish Football Federation is also ready to show the necessary determination in this process, and it was emphasized that the Super League teams and officials involved in match-fixing will be announced, and the heaviest sanctions will be applied to these teams in the coming days.
