The suspect, who introduced herself as a "prosecutor" on the bus and used expressions like "I will kill you, bigot. Let's see how you survive in Turkey from now on" towards a passenger, was arrested.

ACTUALLY A DROPOUT FROM THE JUSTICE DEPARTMENT, A UNIVERSITY STUDENT
It was determined that Yaren S. is not a public prosecutor, but a dropout from the Justice Vocational School, and she still has an active student registration in the Department of Medical Documentation and Secretarial at the Open and Distance Education Faculty. It was reported that the young woman, who is stated not to be a university graduate, works as a sales consultant.
HER STATEMENT HAS EMERGED

Yaren S. stated that she did not introduce herself as a police officer or prosecutor, saying, "Those who complained about me claimed that I introduced myself as a police officer. I did not introduce myself as a police officer. I am a law faculty student. I only said that my dog is a narcotic breed."
ARRESTED
The 21-year-old suspect was referred to the Peace Criminal Court with a request for arrest. The request stated, "It is claimed that the suspect committed the crime of 'Publicly Inciting Hatred and Hostility or Insulting' by saying to a woman wearing a headscarf in a manner that would disturb public peace and humiliate a segment of society, 'bigot, breathe in, breathe in, I will put air in your brain if you don't breathe in.'"
