Transport and Infrastructure Minister Abdulkadir Uraloğlu said, "With our Samsun-Trabzon-Sarp high-speed train project, which will reduce the travel time between Trabzon and Samsun to 2 hours, we will connect all our cities starting from Samsun: Ordu, Giresun, Trabzon, Rize, and Artvin."
The opening program of the Trabzon Days held in Ankara was carried out with intense participation at the 1st Grand National Assembly of Turkey Building. After the opening, a march was made from the 1st Grand National Assembly of Turkey Building to the foyer area in the Millet Garden accompanied by a military band.
“WORKS ARE CONTINUING AT FULL SPEED" Transport and Infrastructure Minister Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, who attended the program, gave a speech at the event held in the Millet Garden. Stating that they have made major investments in every field from education to health, transportation to environment and urbanism, and from production to technology to carry Trabzon into a stronger future under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Minister Uraloğlu said, "As the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, we are transforming and developing the transportation infrastructure of our Trabzon. We have built divided roads and BSK roads. We constructed Zigana Tunnel, the longest double-tube highway tunnel in Europe. We are nearing the end of the Kanuni Boulevard, which will relieve urban traffic. We are also implementing our Trabzon South Ring Road in two sections. The works in the first phase are continuing at full speed," he stated.
"WE WILL REDUCE THE TIME BETWEEN TRABZON AND SAMSUN TO 2 HOURS" Uraloğlu noted that the major projects that will equip Trabzon with a modern urban rail system and introduce it to high-speed trains have been realized with the vision of President Erdoğan, saying, "With our Samsun-Trabzon-Sarp high-speed train railway project, which will reduce the travel time between Trabzon and Samsun to 2 hours, we will connect all our cities, including Ordu, Giresun, Trabzon, Rize, and Artvin, starting from Samsun. We have also started construction works between Kırıkkale and Çorum. We will tender the continuation this year. The construction tender for the first phase of our Trabzon Light Rail System Line, which we have implemented together with Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality, between Akyazı and the Airport, will also be announced in the coming days, and we will start our construction works," he expressed.
"WE WILL BUILD OUR NEW AIRPORT AT SEA A LITTLE FURTHER NORTH OF THE EXISTING RUNWAY" Uraloğlu conveyed that they have designed the new Trabzon Airport with a terminal building with a capacity of 10 million passengers and a 3,000-meter runway to accommodate large-bodied aircraft, stating: "Now, as part of our new project, we will build our new airport at sea a little further north of the existing runway. We have included it in the investment program, we have tendered it, and we have completed the land delivery. We will lay the foundation soon and start construction works. No one, none of our fellow citizens should have any doubt that we are working tirelessly; with our projects, we are making Trabzon the logistics, production, and tourism hub of the Black Sea. They say, 'It's not where you were born, but where you are fed.' We have never forgotten the place we were born, even where we are fed. Wherever we are, we carry a longing for our homeland. We are working to carry our Trabzon to a stronger and prosperous future. We said, if Trabzon develops, the Black Sea rises; if the Black Sea rises, Turkey strengthens."
"LET'S CREATE THE BLACK SEA STORM TOGETHER IN THE CAPITAL" Uraloğlu continued his remarks: "Thousands of our fellow citizens from Trabzon living in Ankara will come together, catch up, and strengthen their unity and solidarity. With these feelings, I wish the Ankara Trabzon Days to be fruitful, blessed, and unforgettable. I invite all our fellow citizens and all citizens of Ankara to this great festival once again. Trabzon is a city that knows when to be silent and when to roar. Trabzon is ours, the Black Sea is ours, Ankara is ours, Turkey is ours! Let's create the Black Sea storm together in the capital!"
