Following an investigation by the Provincial Police Department, the driver was caught and found to be unlicensed; a total administrative fine of 420,000 lira was imposed for violating traffic rules and safety. Legal proceedings have also been initiated against the driver.
YIELDING DISPUTE TURNS INTO VIOLENCE
The incident occurred on Mimar Sinan Boulevard in Korukent neighborhood of Toroslar district. A verbal argument broke out between a car driver and a passenger bus driver from Mersin Metropolitan Municipality over yielding in traffic. As the argument escalated, the car driver cut off the bus with his vehicle, got out, and punched and broke the window of the driver's cabin.
DRIVER'S LICENSE REVOKED PREVIOUSLY REVEALED
Upon reports from bystanders, Mersin Provincial Police Department teams quickly launched an investigation, identified the attacker, and apprehended him shortly after. A detailed query by traffic units in the system revealed that the reckless driver's license had been previously revoked, which should have prevented him from driving.

Police teams imposed a series of penalties on the driver under relevant articles of the Highway Traffic Law. The individual was fined 420,000 lira for 'persistently following another vehicle or getting out of a vehicle with the intent to attack in traffic' and 'driving with a revoked driver's license'. Additionally, the car used in the incident was impounded from traffic for 2 months.
