A father and his two daughters, who came to the sea in Bursa to cool off, came face to face with death while trying to swim behind the buoys that were above their height. In the incident noticed by locals, timely intervention saved the three individuals, who were brought to shore, preventing a tragedy.
THEY WENT BEYOND THE BUOYS
According to the information obtained, the father and his two daughters, who were swimming at Kumsaz beach in Gemlik district of Bursa, went beyond the buoys designated for safety. After a while, citizens and nearby personnel quickly intervened upon noticing the family struggling due to the current.
FATHER AND DAUGHTERS BROUGHT TO SHORE
As a result of the intervention, the father and his two daughters were safely brought to shore. Upon notification, 112 Emergency Health teams were dispatched to the scene. In the initial assessment by health teams, it was determined that the family members' health conditions were good.
EXPERTS WARN CITIZENS
Authorities drew attention to the increasing number of drowning incidents, especially in the summer months, and reminded citizens not to go beyond the buoys for their safety and to strictly follow warning signs and lifeguard instructions.
Experts noted that control can be lost quickly in areas with currents and warned against going outside safe zones while entering the sea.
