Tehran Fire Department Spokesperson Jalal Meleki provided information about the incident to the Iranian Workers' News Agency.

Meleki stated, "The fire occurred in a marketplace located at the Niyayesh–Jannatabad Junction. In the first minutes, 5 fire stations were dispatched to the area."

3 THOUSAND SQUARE METERS IN SIZE

Meleki noted that a hangar, approximately 3,000 square meters in size, filled with various stalls and largely constructed of flammable materials, was completely engulfed in flames, and thick smoke was rising from the scene. He mentioned that intervention was initiated from multiple points.
