In Çorum, a 76-year-old man named Ali Osman Kaya was found beheaded and dismembered in a creek bed. His neighbor, who was taken into custody in connection with the murder, confessed to the crime during interrogation at the police station. It was reported that the individual stated he killed Kaya at his cottage and then disposed of the dismembered body in the creek bed, while he took the severed head 2 kilometers away.
The body of 76-year-old Ali Osman Kaya, who went missing in Çorum, was found in pieces, and his neighbor A.F.K. has been arrested and confessed to the murder. The suspect stated that he killed Kaya in a vineyard house, dismembered the body, and threw it into a creek bed.
A HEADLESS BODY DIVIDED INTO 6 PIECES WAS FOUND
Ali Osman Kaya, who lived in the Ulukavak neighborhood of Çorum, left his home on January 28 around noon and was not heard from again. Following a missing person report from his relatives, police, gendarmerie, and AFAD teams initiated a search operation. During the search, a male body, headless, divided into 6 pieces, and stuffed into bags was found in the creek bed near Çatak Nature Park. After the crime scene investigation team's work, it was determined that the body belonged to Ali Osman Kaya, who was reported missing.
HIS NEIGHBOR CONFESSED TO THE BRUTAL MURDER
In the investigations conducted by the Homicide Bureau of the Provincial Security Directorate's Public Order Branch, it was determined that Kaya was last seen in the car of his neighbor A.F.K. Following this, neighbor A.F.K. was taken into custody. During the suspect's interrogation, it was learned that he confessed to killing Kaya in a vineyard house, then dismembering him with a cutting tool and leaving the body in the creek bed near a forested area, while the severed head was taken approximately 2 kilometers away from where the body was found.
The lifeless body of the murdered Ali Osman Kaya was taken to the morgue of Hitit University Erol Olçok Training and Research Hospital for an autopsy. It was reported that the statement procedures of the suspect A.F.K. at the police station are ongoing.
