THE FIRE STARTED IN THE BUS'S ENGINE COMPARTMENT

The incident occurred around 11:30 in the Tarabya neighborhood on Hacıosman Bayırı. According to the information obtained, a fire broke out in the engine of the private public bus with license plate 34 HO 1938, operated by driver Özcan Kılıç (35), who was traveling with approximately 25 passengers on route 29D. Noticing the smoke, driver Kılıç stopped the bus and evacuated about 25 passengers. The fire that started in the engine compartment quickly engulfed the bus.

25 PASSENGERS WERE EVACUATED

Upon notification from nearby citizens, health, police, and fire teams were dispatched to the scene. Firefighters, who arrived at the scene in a short time, intervened in the fire on the bus and extinguished it. There were no fatalities or injuries in the incident. While cooling efforts were underway, the police launched an investigation into the fire. Meanwhile, the bus driver was taken to the police station for questioning. It was revealed that driver Özcan Kılıç had two records with the police.
