The incident occurred in the Yeniköy neighborhood of İslahiye district. A fire broke out for an undetermined reason in the approximately 400-decare wheat field where harvesting had just been completed. NOT JUST STUBBLE, BUT NATURE ALSO BURNED: OLIVE AND VINEYARDS TURNED TO ASH

Following the fire, the President of the İslahiye Chamber of Agriculture, Osman Erdoğan, who conducted inspections in the area, revealed the scale of the disaster. He stated that not only the stubble but also the vineyards, olive trees, and centuries-old oak trees, which farmers cherished like their own eyes, were severely damaged in the fire.

"YOU ARE KILLING THE LIVING BEINGS IN THE SOIL, BE SENSITIVE!"

Reiterating the call to citizens and farmers to "Do not burn stubble," Chamber of Agriculture President Osman Erdoğan issued the following warnings:

"These fires in agricultural lands do not only harm our crops, vineyards, and gardens; they also destroy thousands of living creatures above and below the soil, as well as our future. Please be much more sensitive and careful against fires."
