In a report by Israeli state television KAN, it was stated that some of the at least 40 UAVs sent by Hezbollah yesterday were intercepted, while the rest fell and caused significant damage.
ALLEGATION OF A "ADVANCED UAV" DIFFICULT TO DETECT
It was reported that among the UAVs was one equipped with an advanced optical system that is difficult to detect, and that it fell in Kiryat Shmona in northern Israel.
It was conveyed that the UAV in question is considered an advanced aerial weapon, is protected against cyber attacks, and is difficult to detect and intercept.
It was alleged that the UAV can maneuver inside buildings, can carry 5 kilograms of explosives, and has a range of tens of kilometers.
FPV DRONES ON THE FIELD
The Israeli website Globes, however, argued that Hezbollah has recently begun using FPV-type UAVs to target Israeli tanks and armored personnel carriers in southern Lebanon.
The site's report stated that footage released by Hezbollah shows suicide drones maneuvering at high speed in the air and hitting armored vehicles and even soldiers, and that these are different from surveillance and reconnaissance drones.
NEW GENERATION WARFARE TECHNOLOGY
It was expressed that such vehicles are UAVs with high maneuverability, controlled by a pilot watching live footage from the device's camera through goggles.
It was claimed that this weapon has recently undergone a new development process inspired by the war in Ukraine, where the suicide drone is directly connected to the operating station via a fiber optic cable, a method that provides complete protection against attempts to bring it down by jamming location or radio signals.
