Trabzonspor, who lost 1-0 to Freiburg in the UEFA Conference League, suffered their first defeat under head coach Thomas Reis. The maroon-blue team, who won their first 7 matches with the German coach, also failed to score in a match for the first time.
Trabzonspor lost 1-0 to the German representative Freiburg in matchday 3 of the UEFA Conference League. With this result, the claret-and-blue team could not continue the winning streak it had achieved under head coach Thomas Reis.
7-MATCH WINNING STREAK ENDS
Having won all 7 matches it played after Thomas Reis took charge, Trabzonspor suffered its first defeat in its 8th match under the German coach.
The claret-and-blue team defeated Galatasaray 4-0, Samsunspor 3-0, and Beşiktaş 2-0 in the Super Lig under Reis. The Black Sea side, which beat KuPS Kuopio 4-2 and Hearts 2-0 in the UEFA Conference League, had extended its winning streak to 7 matches by beating Çaykur Rizespor 4-3 and Gaziantep FK 2-0 in the league. However, Trabzonspor ended this streak by leaving the away match against Freiburg without points.
FIRST DEFEAT IN THE CONFERENCE LEAGUE
Trabzonspor also suffered its first defeat of the season in the UEFA Conference League. The claret-and-blue team, which had previously won its matches against KuPS Kuopio and Hearts in the competition, remained on 6 points after the Freiburg defeat.
ANOTHER FIRST IN THE THOMAS REIS ERA
The Freiburg match went down in the records as the first match in which Trabzonspor failed to score under Thomas Reis. The claret-and-blue team, which scored 15 goals in 5 Super Lig matches and 6 goals in its first 2 UEFA Conference League matches after the German coach took charge, failed to find the back of the net against Freiburg. Thus, both Trabzonspor's 7-match winning streak and its scoring streak under Reis came to an end.
